'Tis the season

It's been pretty hard to get in the "Christmas spirit" this year. Maybe it's seeing the countless number of people bracing the crowds and searching meticulously for gifts; maybe it's just that I've gotten older; maybe it's because it's so FREAKING HOT OUTSIDE; maybe it's seeing that creepy Santa-in-a-shed at the outdoor mall yesterday (Not kidding.). Whatever the reason, I've just not been very "Buddy the Elf" this year. I haven't been quite the "Grinch" or "Scrooge"...maybe just a little bit "Audrey Griswold". Although I haven't been extremely peppy this year, I'm trying to remember the real meaning of Christmas and enjoy spending time with the fam, even though it may be annoying sometimes.
